Providing children with encouragement and joy during difficult times.

Our Story

We are a non-profit organization that began in Akron, Ohio, and now has affiliates across the United States. Debby Rowland started Kids Capes of Courage after seeing a similar charity on the Today Show. She was inspired and immediately worked with family and friends to create Kids Capes of Courage. We sew capes of love and bravery to give hope to children with an illness, special needs, or everyday life struggles.

Our Mission

Our mission is to give hope and joy to anyone that needs a little courage. Our capes symbolize strength, power, bravery, and so much more! We help boys and girls going through scary situations transform into self-confident children that feel they can conquer whatever obstacles they face. From newborns in the NICU to teenagers struggling with depression or battling cancer, we want all children to realize how strong and brave they are.

Hand-crafted with love, one stitch at a time.

We are always looking for volunteers, and there is something for everyone, big or small. We need help with cutting patterns, sewing capes, and a multitude of other things.
